I finally found a size 10.5 after days of worry and a few sleepless nights!! I waited in line on Michigan Avenue in Chicago last Saturday morning(December 4, 2010) with around 160 other Air Jordan fans including windycitysole.com and FlipJays but only managed to get a size 8.5. I desperately looked for a fellow enthusiast to trade me for my sacred 10.5's. But by the time the shelves were empty most of the 10.5s I so desperately desired were somewhere headed south on State Street nestled away in someones trunk right next to a pair of old converse used to play pick-up basketball games with friends.
How was I going to find my 10.5's? Thoughts of rushing home and logging into issforums.com to see if I could make a quick trade with someone with an extra 10.5 rushed through my head as I tried to beat a cabbie in a 1/8 of a mile dash to the express way entrance just south of Milwaukee Avenue. Or maybe I should just call it quits and sell the 8.5 to get my money back and maybe a little extra coin for my newly aquired pair? There was always the idea of selling the pair and then re-buying the pair only in my size. Whatever my decision I knew it was not going to be easy.
I posted the 8.5's on Ebay and they ended up seling for over $100 more dollars than what I paid for them but immediately took that money and purchase my size in the same shoe. In the end I came out breaking even between the two pairs which I was more than pleased about. The shoes finally came in the mail and I must say that I have no regrets for all my efforts to get this pair of sneakers.
